OK, read the following statement issued Tuesday night – yes, this is an actual statement, word-for-word, put out by a congressional candidate – and tell me if it came from a Democrat or a Republican…
“Today, Iran launched an attack against the Al Assad Air Base. I am praying for the safety of our troops and diplomatic personnel. We must stand together as Americans.”
Seriously, if you answered this question definitively you were making a guess, at best. Because you really can’t tell. It’s a bunch of words strung together saying basically…nothing.
As such, this candidate – who shall remain anonymous to protect the guilty – would have been better served by saying basically…nothing.
Elections are about CONTRAST.
Either support your side or criticize the other. Or do both.
But stop spitting out pablum.
Nobody cares. And it doesn’t get you any votes.
Cheers!
